Jason Osterberger - President

Jason Osterberger, a Louisiana native, received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. LSU is currently the second ranked BLA program in the nation.  Upon graduating from LSU, Jason relocated to Dallas, TX where he started his career as a landscape designer and project manager for a Dallas area residential design-build firm. In his first year with the firm, Jason received the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association’s 1999 Distinction Award for Texas Excellence in Landscaping for Residential Design. In 2004, Jason started his own firm, Jason Osterberger Designs. In six short years his firm has garnered multiple landscape design awards and has become a leader in the industry.

Jason’s team approach to design and working closely with his clients can be attributed to his success.  His design philosophy is based on the concept that a garden is something to experience, a garden is always in motion, and a garden should be in constant seasonal change (evolving).  He has set the company goal to offer each client a creative solution for their outdoor living environment.  His initial design process begins with developing a relationship between himself and the client.  Understanding the needs and desires of every client will help create a plan to meet a client’s lifestyle.  Jason feels this relationship will help drive the design process as well as be crucial in managing a client’s project from conception to completion.

A Coppell resident, Jason is a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church Men’s Club, a Eucharistic minister, and is a 3rd grade religious education teacher at St. Ann’s. He is also an assistant coach for the Coppell Youth Soccer Association and he serves as a volunteer at Coppell ISD’s New Tech High @ Coppell.  Professionally, Jason is active in the local chapter of the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association (TNLA) and he serves as Chair of the statewide TNLA Education Committee.  Jason’s greatest success includes his loving wife Brandy and their awesome son Tanner and newest addition Landon.

Janet Fodge - Designer / Project Manager

Janet Fodge developed a lifelong passion for gardening while watching her grandmother tend her huge country garden in rural Arkansas.  She earned an AAS degree in Landscape Management from Richland College, where she grew to realize that design was an integral part of creating a successful landscape.  She became a member of the Texas Nursery Landscape Association and, in 2004, received her Master Gardener certificate.

Janet operated her own business, Artistree Designs, for two years before she was persuaded to join the Jason Osterberger Designs team where she takes projects from conception to completion as a landscape designer and project manager.  In the fall of 2005, Janet was involved with designing the Water Wise/Earth Kind Landscape project at Dallas County Commissioner Maurine Dickey’s office on Joe Field Road, coordinating with Dale Groom and Mary Westfall.

Janet is known for her personal care and attention to detail in each of her design projects.  She ensures that every client’s project is site specific and creative, whether she is designing landscaping for a four-acre home site or a tiny town home courtyard.

Aside from her considerable landscaping and design talents, Janet is an accomplished pianist.  She began piano training at age 5, studied piano performance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and has been a church pianist for over 36 years.  She also enjoys all kinds of faux and decorative painting, calligraphy, floral design, and designing and decorating her home and gardens.  Janet and Mike, her husband of over 31 years, reside in Rowlett. Janet and Mike have been blessed with two married daughters and an adorable grandson, Eli.
